The Ashanti Region’s Kwadaso Municipality saw a fire outbreak that damaged the top floor of a two-story hostel that housed more than 150 students from the Kwadaso SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College.
On Sunday, April 20, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m., some of students reported that the incident actually happened.
Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service’s prompt action saved the day and stopped the fire from spreading to the ground floor.
All of the top floor students’ possessions, including mattresses, laptops, food, stationery, and other necessities, were destroyed in the fire.
Since the school administration reported that several students had left for the Easter break, no casualties were reported.
Officers from the Ghana National incident Service are currently conducting investigations to ascertain the cause of the incident.
