As part of a major technical restructuring intended to revitalize the Porcupine Warriors, Asante Kotoko has announced Prince Yaw Owusu as the club’s new assistant coach.
With more than 20 years of experience, Owusu is a seasoned football coach who brings a wealth of knowledge to the position.
He has coached in Ghana, Sudan, and the US, holding a number of high-profile roles such as head coach of Khartoum National Club, Medeama SC, and Inter Allies.
Notably, Owusu has also held the positions of head coach of the Ghana U-20 national team (Black Satellites) and assistant coach of the Ghana U-17 national team.
Owusu is well-known for his work in player development in addition to his coaching responsibilities.
Many of the players he developed have gone on to play for elite European teams, including AC Milan, Genoa, Sassuolo, and Fiorentina.
The club’s strategic objective to fortify its technical department and guarantee ongoing success in both home and international competitions includes Owusu’s hiring.
Owusu will collaborate closely with Abdul Karim Zito, the recently appointed Technical Director and temporary head coach, as a member of the reorganized technical team.
